At Ember, each day we take seriously the trust parents, caregivers and society writ large place in us to nurture and empower the children and youth we serve. As we work hard to better prepare students for adulthood, for a future filled with both challenge and wonder, we are clear about our central focus, one most other public schools neglect, or perhaps more precisely ignore: WHO a child will become (their identity, their aspirations, the content of their character), is far more important than how much information they have memorized. Ember is above all interested in how we best inspire our young people to steward and advance humanity, and with the rise of AI and the prevalence of discord, our mandate to empower our young people with the tools to learn and adapt, heal and connect, is more clear and important than ever.
